Implementing forthcoming consultation directives

Away from the hustle and bustle of London, the LGPS Pooling Symposium takes place at The Belfry Hotel & Resort on the 23rd – 24th April, 2024.

The Symposium will focus on how pooling in the LGPS continues to evolve, and will look at what the future of pooling might look like. Leading figures from the local authority pension funds and the Pools will participate in a challenging and lively agenda that will ensure the Symposium is a must attend event for any person or organisation that wants to be involved in the future shaping of Pooling.

To create the right environment for such an important event, the Symposium will again be a retreat style event and run under the Chatham House rule.

In March 2024’s spring budget the government challenged LGPS funds in England and Wales to move further and faster on consolidating assets and said it would launch a consultation that would propose that LGPS funds transfer all listed assets into their pools by March 2025.
