Ronan has worked in operational and policy roles in the Department for Work and Pensions and predecessor Departments since 1988. He moved to private pension policy in 2011, leading on amongst other things, the charge cap for defined contribution pensions, the Act to introduce defined ambition pensions, as well as supporting the introduction of the pension freedoms.
