Matthew is Head of Pensions at Gloucestershire County Council. Matthew joined Gloustershire Pension Fund from Brunel Pension Partnership where he was Client Relatiopnship Director. Before joining Brunel, Matthew spent 11 years with the Cornwall Pension Fund, ultimately in the role of Investment Manager for the £1.7 billion Fund. In this role, Matthew led on all aspects of the Fund’s strategic allocation, governance and day-to-day investment operations. During his tenure at Cornwall, the fund was recognised for progressive work on the creation of an LGPS Hedge Fund platform, with recognition in the 2015 aiCIO European Innovation Awards and in the 2015 Institutional Investor UK & Ireland Awards.
